Spain and Hong Kong, commercial partners in the new silk routes

The CEOE headquarters in Madrid served as a meeting point for businesspeople and institutions whose common interest is to strengthen trade ties between Spain and Hong Kong and take advantage of the opportunities generated by the new Silk Road scenario.


This is the China's most important initiative for the coming years that it intends to promote trade relations between Asia, Europe and Africa and that will affect more than 64 countries representing a 63% of the world's population, un 30% of global GDP and 35% of worldwide trade.

To facilitate connections among stakeholders in this major China-led project, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) are organizing a major event in Hong Kong called the Belt and Road Summit on May 18. CEOE A business mission will be led to participate in this meeting in Hong Kong, which includes participation in the conference, meeting with potential Asian investors as well as a one-day working agenda.
