In the framework of the twentieth anniversary of Czechia's entry into the EU
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, José Manuel Albares, has received the Minister of European Affairs of the Czech Republic, Martin Dvořák, at the Ministry's headquarters in Plaza del Marqués de Salamanca.

At the meeting, Albares and Dvořák have confirmed the good political and economic relations between the two countries and have agreed to continue deepening them.
Regarding the European agenda, the ministers have agreed to prioritize the enlargement of the European Union, underscoring the importance of maintaining an inclusive and rigorous process. Albares has also reiterated the importance of trade agreements with third countries, with special mention to EU-Mercosur Association Agreement.
Other current issues were also discussed at the meeting, such as support for Ukraine, reiterating the commitment of both countries to stability and peace in the region, as well as the current situation in Middle East and the need for a permanent ceasefire and the opening of channels for the massive entry of humanitarian aid, in addition to the release of all hostages.
Czech-Spanish conferences
The meeting ended in Ortega-Marañón Foundation, where both ministers participated in the inauguration of the first Czech-Spanish conferences, which seek to promote cultural and academic exchange.
Under the title "United in Europe, different paths, one common goal", the conference is framed within the twentieth anniversary of the Czech Republic's entry into the European Union and reinforces the commitment of Spain and the Czech Republic to cooperation and continuous dialogue, both bilaterally and within the framework of the European Union.
