ESSDM and Seville celebrate Erasmus Day with new initiatives for students

The Center for Higher Artistic Education in Design (ESSDM), in collaboration with the City of Seville and the signature Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo, celebrated Erasmus Day at the Virgen de los Reyes Home as part of the International Fashion Week in Andalusia (SIMA 41). The event, aimed at promoting the international mobility and to recognize the efforts of young people, brought together students, professionals and institutional representatives.

During the day, the delivery of a social scholarship to the student Ariadna Plaza was highlighted, the result of the agreement between ESSDM and Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo, with the aim of promoting youth education and entrepreneurship. José Luis García, Social Rights Delegate of the Seville City Council, highlighted the importance of these initiatives for the development of young people: “International mobility not only enriches students, but also our city, which becomes a benchmark for cultural exchange.”

The program included lectures on artificial intelligence and sustainability, as well as a competition on the European Union, where attendees were able to participate and discuss the challenges of the future. Maria Camera, director of ESSDM, stressed that “the Erasmus + program “It allows our students to discover new trends and expand their professional networks globally, which is essential for the fashion sector.”

Erasmus Day reinforces the importance of international mobility as a key tool for the comprehensive training of future designers and their insertion into an increasingly globalized market.
