This is also reflected in the export figures for Andalusian olive oil to Belgium in 2016, which rose by 17,3% over 2015 to reach 34 million euros. Andalucía leads the sales of this product to the country, with 90% of the total sales of Spain, far ahead of Catalonia (8,2% of the total and 3,1 million) and Castilla la Mancha (0,7% of the total).

 

The olive oil companies that have participated in the mission come from Jaen (Supremo, Zocueca, La Casona, Castillo de Canena, Familia Ortal, Oliaesa, Olisierra and Verde Esmeralda Olive); Cordoba (Oleum Hispania, and Canolive); Seville (Acesur); Huelva (Eddy Plasquy); Granada (Oleoelvira); and Almeria (Oleo Almanzora).

Belgium is the twelfth market for Andalusian olive oil exports and the seventh in the community, which represents 1,3% of the sector's sales abroad.

 

 

According to data from extend, the provinces that lead the sale of olive oil to Belgium are Seville, with two out of every five euros he sold Andalucía up to 13,5 million euros, which represents an increase of 12,6% compared to 2015; Malaga, with 33% of the export bill and 11,1 million; and Cordoba, with 5,8 million, 17,2% of the total, which multiplied its sales by eight.

 

Belgium It is the twelfth market for Andalusian olive oil exports and the seventh in the community, which represents 1,3% of the sector's sales abroad. Andalusia is the leader in the marketing of olive oil in the world, with two out of every three euros that Spain sold in 2016.

In addition to this commercial mission, Andalusian olive oil will be specifically promoted in October at the fair Olive Oil Kansai from Japan, and will be present at other top-level agri-food events, showrooms and trade missions with the support of extend.

 

The organization of this action by Extenda will be co-financed with funds from the European Union through the OP SPRING of Andalusia 2014-2020, endowed with a community contribution of 80%
