Asia is the second destination for Andalusian exports, with €1.813m in the first eight months of 2020 (January-August), where China concentrates 43% of the total, reaching €780m.

China: the agri-food sector stands out (olive oil, wine, meat, fruits and citrus), healthy foods and nutritional supplements, luxury products (fashion, jewelry, vehicles...), architecture and the teaching of Spanish (ELE) .

 

Japan: The Japanese market also demands agri-food products, such as olive oil, ham and pork; cultural industries such as flamenco; and the teaching of Spanish (ELE).

 

South Korea: Agri-food sectors are priority sectors for Andalusia, such as wines, olive oil and meat; and the auxiliary industry of agriculture.

 

India: business niches are found in the agri-food industry and its products, as well as sanitation and the development of sustainable cities (urban transportation, housing construction, waste management...)

 

Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines: This block of countries counts renewable energy and the agri-food industry among its opportunity sectors. Furthermore, it is necessary to take into account the opportunities offered by the Halal market, in countries like Indonesia or Malaysia.
