Extenda-Andalusia Export and Foreign Investment works continuously on a strategy of advising Andalusian companies in order to promote their activity abroad through its Consulting 'Advice for International Implementation', whose third call opened in January and will remain open until December 31, 2022.
Through this program, 33 Andalusian companies have been able to learn first-hand about the benefits and conditions required for a possible implementation in any foreign market, and optimize its results.
The objective pursued by this service is that companies that intend to launch subsidiaries abroad can count on specialized technical advice through a work method based on reflection and business planning that culminates in the definition of their business plan for implementation abroad.
The third call for this program was opened last January, and there have been nine companies that have already enjoyed this advice, with the call to register new companies remaining open until December 31, 2022. This service can be accessed by Andalusian companies from any sector of activity that have a turnover of at least 150.000 euros, except companies from incubation, acceleration, memorization programs, or certain European programs to support and encourage SMEs, in which case they are not required to comply with the billing requirement.
This program is aimed at Andalusian companies that They have experience in export and want to promote and consolidate their international positioning by establishing a subsidiary in a target market; as well as for those companies whose internationalization strategy involves the implementation of subsidiaries abroad as a first step to develop business in other markets, as long as they have the necessary resources to do so.
The organization of this action by Extenda will be co-financed with funds from the European Union through the ERDF PO of Andalusia 2014-2020, endowed with a community contribution of 80%.
In the previous editions of this program, until 2021, 24 companies from very diverse sectors of activity participated, from agri-food to consumer, including industrial and service sectors.
In these editions, 29% of the companies came from Seville; by 20% of firms located in Malaga, while 12% were companies from Huelva. For their part, Cádiz, Jaén, Granada and Almería contributed 8% each; while Córdoba companies represented 4% of the total.
Historical support for businesses
In its process of supporting the internationalization of Andalusian companies, Extenda reinforced its Consulting services with the incorporation of innovative programs, as well as with the improvement of those it already had in place. Thus, at the end of 2021, it launched new services such as Commercial Intelligence or International Logistics and Transportation, that join others already active such as International Strategy and Action, Legal Advice or International Digital Marketing.
In this way, the public company makes available to Andalusian companies a wide portfolio of tailored Consulting services, with more than a dozen programs, which offer personalized support in key areas of foreign trade such as brand strategy, international implementation, the search for financing, logistics, digital marketing or legal security.
With the expansion of its service offering, in 2021 Extenda broke its own record for Consulting programs that offer individualized advice to SMEs to successfully address their exit abroad and carried out 340 personalized consulting programs last year, which This is 62% more than in 2020, when it already developed the largest number of advisory actions in the historical series, with a total of 210, exceeding the participation in programs by 130 from the last best record figure recorded.
So far in 2022, Extenda has already developed 241 consulting actions, in which 196 companies in Andalusia have participated. These tailored consulting services are provided by experts in their respective areas and with extensive experience in internationalization.
More than a dozen services
One of the novelties that Extenda incorporated into the Consulting services is the Commercial Intelligence program, which allows identifying market trends to improve the competitiveness of companies and successfully develop their international expansion plans; as well as the program International Logistics and Transportation, designed for companies that require advice in these areas and improve the competitiveness of their international operations.
Other programs with a longer history at Extenda are International Strategy and Action, to offer a diagnosis of its capacity for internationalization and advice to develop an international action plan; or Brand Strategy and Positioning, which helps SMEs in the community analyze the situation of their brand in the market, in order to develop an identity and positioning strategy focused on internationalization.
In addition, the Legal Advice for Internationalization program offers tailored advice both at origin and destination to address many of the issues that may arise during the execution of the foreign plan on procedures related to Commercial, Labor and Tax Law in 67 European countries. , Latin America, MENA region and Asia Pacific.
TAI-certified Finance seeks to help improve the economic-financial structure to increase their possibilities of accessing financing; while with the International Digital Marketing program Extenda advises on the development or improvement of the company's International Digital Marketing Plan. Finally, the International Implementation program aims to ensure that companies that want to launch subsidiaries abroad can count on specialized technical advice to do so with guarantees.
