Cadiz It is in fourth place, with 124 million (17,1% of the total) and an increase of 3,4%; followed by Almeria with 25,3 million (3,5% of the total) and growth of 15,1%; Jaen with 21,3 million (2,9%) and an increase of 10,9%; Granada with 20,9 million (2,9% of the total) and Huelva, with 12,5 million (1,7% of the total).
The best-selling products by Andalusian fashion companies abroad are women's clothing, which with 128 million accounts for 17,6% of sales and grows 6,3% compared to 2015; followed by fibers with 108 million, 14,9% of the total and an increase of 76%; goldsmithing with 64 million, 8,8% of the total; fabrics for clothing with 58 million, 8%; and jewelry with 55 million, 7,6%, which represents an increase of 7,6% over last year.
Main markets of the sector
On the other hand, in 2016 sales grew to seven of the first ten Andalusian fashion markets abroad, including countries on four continents, which reinforces the diversification of sales in the sector. The first destination market is Portugal, which accounts for 11,6% of exports with 84 million and an increase of 1,3% compared to 2015. It is followed by France 81 million, 11,2% of the total, and an increase of 16,9%.
In third place is Switzerland with 77 million, 10,6% of the total and an increase of 7,1%; followed by Italy, with 68 million (9,3%) and an increase of 7,1%; Morocco with 53 million (7,3%); United Kingdom with 46 million (6,4%) and an increase of 2,4%; China-Hong Kong with 28,5 million (3,9%); Greece with 23,3 million (3,2%) and an increase of 25,8%; Germany, with 21,8 million (3%) and United States with 19,5 million (2,7%), which increased by 8,2%.
Likewise, last year the growth recorded in sales in the sector stood out. Vietnam , where they multiplied by eleven to 19 million; to Türkiye, where sales doubled to 16,3 million; already Indonesia, where sales tripled to 14 million.
In 2016, extend organized a total of 52 promotion, training, information and consulting actions to promote the Capabilities of the fashion sector in Andalucía (garments, jewelry and accessories), in which 270 companies participated, 26% of participating firms compared to 2015.
