Extenda-Andalucía Exportation and Foreign Investment has organized an online seminar for Andalusian companies interested in the Indian market that presents great opportunities.


There has been a strong recovery in GDP despite the effects of the second wave; high price inflation, especially in the wholesale market; and the international trade is doubtful due to the effects of the second wave and the high logistics costs.

 

Among the repercussions of Covid there are strong slowdowns due to waves and confinements have given way to important rebounds. There are sectors more seriously impacted, such as construction, industry and tourism. There has been a radical change in consumer habits regarding hygienic and healthy products. There is great development in sectors such as processed foods, e-commerce, parapharmacy and hygiene, etc.

 

In 2014, the Indian government established a framework program aimed at the development of 25 strategic sectors for the Indian economy. Each one was equipped with a strategic plan and specific objectives.

 

This market has attractions since 65% of the population is under 35 years old. A workforce is increasingly more qualified, affordable and mostly English-speaking. Its markets are expanding greatly but not saturated and despite not being a signatory of rcep, it maintains preferential agreements with asean countries and Pacific Asia.
