Ferrovialthrough PLW Waterworks, the division of its subsidiaries Webber and Cadagua, specialized in water infrastructure in United States, will build the wastewater treatment plant Wilbarger Creek, in Pflugerville, Texas (United States) for 200 million dollars (equivalent to about 183 million euros). This new contract highlights the company's commitment to the construction of sustainable infrastructures in North America, its largest market by revenue volume.
“This project gives us a new opportunity to continue contributing to the improvement of infrastructure in the United States,” he comments. The scope of work will also include the construction of all operations and maintenance buildings and the installation of all technology and equipment necessary for each stage of the treatment. PLW Waterworks will work on this project under a contract model called by its acronym in English. CMAR (Construction Manager at Risk) according to which there is a first phase in which the contractor works in collaboration with the client, as the client develops the design, to determine the maximum budget and work program. Likewise, there is a second phase, in which the construction and commissioning of the facilities is carried out within the agreed amount and deadline.

Work, which will begin this summer, will be completed in 2026. Once this milestone is reached, the new infrastructure will treat up to six million gallons per day (more than 22.000 cubic meters/day) to meet the growing growth and service needs of Pflugerville.
