A reference event in the sector
From June 11 to 14, Lisbon hosts this high-level congress that brings together all the key actors.
Africa Energy Forum, high-level conference on renewable energy on the African continent that brings together all the key players in the sector every year, is celebrated in this edition in Lisbon from June 11 to 14. 15 participate in this call Spanish companies of the sector at the stand organized ICEX Spain Export and Investments in collaboration with Spanish Renewable Energy Consortium.
Spanish companies Participants have extensive experience in the African energy sector, covering capabilities in all phases of projects ranging from preliminary analysis, technical assistance and development (IPP), to engineering and construction (EPC). In addition, other entities are present such as the Andalusian Foreign Promotion Agency (EXTENDA).
Within the framework of this event, ICEX - Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade organizes a seminar on Wednesday, June 12, on the prominent role of Public-Private Participation in achieving greater private sector investment in Africa. After the seminar, a cocktail will be held at the stand ICEX - Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade, which will provide space for networking.
For her part, the CEO of ICEX, Maria Pena, will also participate on Wednesday in the panel on Morocco together with the Minister of Energy and Mines of this country, highlighting the prominent role of Spanish companies in the development of the renewable energy sector in Morocco.

Furthermore, Spain will have a speaker within the framework of the seminar on the rise of energy storage in the context of emerging economies that will take place in the Innovation Theater.
During the days of the event, meetings will be held, both with companies and with strategic public institutions, for business development on the African continent.
Finally, and as a continuation of the congress, a group of high-level delegates from Kenya will visit Spain from June 17 to 20 and will participate in a day in ICEX - Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade on June 17, subsequently visiting renewable energy facilities and holding meetings with Spanish institutions. The delegation will be made up of representatives of the Ministry of Kenya Energy, the regulatory body and the generation company KENGEN.
Reference event
En Africa Energy Forum, a reference event on renewable energies on this continent, numerous panels take place over four days and high-level bilateral meetings are held in private rooms with senior African leaders such as ministers, vice-ministers, presidents and CEOs of electricity companies, as well as with companies that operate on the continent.
The 2018 edition was a successful event, with a total of 90 stands, 1.600 delegates, 250 speakers and 13 ministers. The Spanish presence, which had a great role, also had 15 companies in the pavilion of ICEX - Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade.
