The Philippines grew by 6,3% in the last quarter of 2015 and by 6,5% over the last six years. Its GDP also experienced a growth of 5,8% last year, according to Philippine Ambassador to Spain Carlos Salinas, who points out that innovation, macroeconomic and governmental stability, the strengthening of its financial position, and the efficiency of the labor market are some of the key factors that have enabled this situation.

Under the title “Philippines: Your Investment Destination”The Philippine ambassador has encouraged Spanish companies to invest in expansion in his country.
Motivated by this favorable context, the Philippines is developing a total of 51 projects aimed at further boosting the development and consolidation of sectors such as infrastructure, water supply, transportation, airports, energy, social services, and the judiciary, among many others. For this reason, the Philippines has encouraged Spanish companies to invest in the Philippines and participate in these projects, even jokingly expressing "envy" when it sees the development of some of these sectors in Spain, stating that these companies would have much to offer in the Philippines.
In this regard, he commented with satisfaction that there are currently about 25 companies Spanish en Work shirts / service shirtswhere just five years ago there were fewer than 10.
