FIMMA 2026 kicks off with ambitious international expansion goals and a focus on high-value buyers.

Valencia is preparing to receive a historic edition of FIMMA in 2026. Of the November 10 to 13, Valencia Fair It will be the epicenter of machinery and technology for the furniture and wood sector, in a joint call with Maderalia which aims for significant expansion. The FIMMA Organizing Committee, chaired again by Santiago Riera (Rierge), has met to define the pillars of this edition, with a strong emphasis on the internationalization of the offer and expansion of the buyer profile.

The Committee, which has incorporated new figures such as Manuel Tarín (European Machinery), Lluís Biosca (Felder Group Ibérica), Juan Manuel Alvarez (Maesma Wood Technology) and Guillermo Palomar (Virutex), along with other leading industry leaders, seeks not only to surpass the successes of previous editions, but also to set a new standard. The fair's management will remain under the supervision of Alejandro Roda, from Feria Valencia.

More exhibitors, more visitors and more internationalization

One of the main objectives for FIMMA 2026 is the increasing and sizing its convening capacity. After growing by nearly 30% in size and attracting more than 30.000 visitors from 63 countries in its latest edition, the biennial is seeking a full consolidation or with a “firm step forward” to position itself as a benchmark in Europe. This strategy responds to the evolution of the trade fair landscape and the strength of the FIMMA + Maderalia partnership, which offers a unique showcase with the largest industrial offering for industry professionals.

In the words of Santi Riera, Chairman of the Committee, the focus is on “growth in the international arena, based on the incorporation of a greater offer from reference firms in high added value markets, especially in Europe, which will expand our offer and its quality." Riera also highlighted the objective of “growth in the number of foreign professional buyers, fundamentally, from those markets that are very sensitive to the Spanish industry, such as the Maghreb, Latin America or those closer European markets such as France, Italy or Portugal”.

According to Alejandro Roda, director of the fair, the confirmations of important European groups and the implementation of a powerful international buyers campaign, with a budget that will triple that of previous editions, lay the foundations to achieve this ambitious goal of “internationalize FIMMA”.

In addition to international expansion, the Committee has opted to diversify the profile of visitors, encouraging the presence of technicians and managers of production departments of the companies in the sector, many of which will find a complementary offer in Maderalia.
