Folder accelerates its international expansion with new stores in Romania and ambitious plans for Poland

In a move that underlines its ambition for leadership in the European market, Folder has opened three new stores in Romania, significantly strengthening its international presence. The expansion, which includes establishments in Bucharest, Brasov and Sibiu, is a testament to the success of the company's business model and its internationalization strategy.

"The opening of these three new stores in Romania strengthens our network in Eastern Europe and brings us closer to our goal of reaching €120 million in revenue by 2027, boosting both our domestic and international sales," he stated. Oscar Iglesias, CEO of Folder.

One of the stores in Romania will be managed by the master franchisee who started the expansion in the country years ago, a clear indication of the commitment and confidence in the brand. This same entrepreneur is now exploring the possibility of taking the brand to Poland, a market with high potential in the stationery and office supplies sector. The other two stores are in the hands of new franchisees, which demonstrates the attractiveness of the brand for new investors.

With these openings, Folder not only increases its number of stores in Romania, but also strengthens its position as one of the leading stationery chains in Europe, with more than 160 establishments in Spain.

A Solid and Efficient Business Model

Folder's success is based on a business model that combines proximity, efficiency and a wide range of products. The company has a catalogue of more than 8.000 references of office supplies, technology and stationery, thanks to agreements with the 65 most important manufacturers worldwide.

"Our ability to offer a personalized service tailored to the needs of our customers, along with a wide range of high-quality products at competitive prices, is what sets us apart," Iglesias explained.

La Optimizing your logistics network, which has reduced delivery times by 20% in the last year, guarantees a fast service both in its physical stores and in its corporate channel. In addition, Folder's own brand line, with almost 300 high-turnover items, contributes significantly to its profit margins.

On its twentieth anniversary, celebrated last year, Folder reached a turnover of 100 million euros, which represents a growth of 7,8% compared to the previous year. The company plans to reach 120 million euros in the next three years, boosting all its sales channels.

Looking ahead to 2025, Folder expects significant growth in its network of stores in Spain, from 160 to 200 establishments, both owned and franchised. In addition, the company will continue to explore expansion opportunities in new international markets.

Folder's growth has also had a positive impact on job creation. The company has increased its workforce by 7%, reaching 532 employees, including franchisees and contracted staff.
