The Transfiere Forum closes a historic edition with more than 4.000 participants

Positioned as the premier gathering of the I+D+i in Spain, has celebrated a historic gathering with the visit of King Felipe VI. Over the course of two working days, more than 5.000 meetings took place. Also noteworthy is the 60 percent increase in the number of research groups, totaling 275.

 

More than 4.000 professionals from around 1.500 public and private entities have participated in the sixth edition of Transfer, European Forum for Science, Technology and Innovation. Over two days – February 15 and 16 – the networking It has been the central focus of the event, with more than 5.000 working meetings taking place between representatives from the business, academic and scientific-research fields. King Felipe VI, honorary president of the organizing committee of TransfiereHe presided over the opening ceremony of an edition that also featured 2.300 technology projects, fifty universities, 39 technology platforms, and more than 170 speakers. Additionally, on the day before the opening ceremony, the second annual 'Foro Transfiere' Journalism Award was presented, recognizing journalistic coverage of science, technology, and innovation.

 

Technology transfer contract models, taxation, open innovation and innovation indicators –such as publications and patents– were among the topics addressed in the panels of the International Innovation ForumIn the space dedicated to presenting success stories, opportunities for collaboration with [unspecified entities] have been announced. Portuguese Parks, the major international scientific facilities –International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL), in Braga (Portugal) and the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), located in Geneva (Switzerland)-, success stories of Andalusian companies in R&D&I and the most outstanding projects of the Fedit Technology Centers.
