García-Margallo advocates for the continuation of the Spain Brand initiative without "political bias"

Carlos Espinosa de los Monteros, High Commissioner for Brand Spain, presented the video as a culmination of the 'Image of the image' event, in which the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, José Manuel García-Margallo, also participated.

The new institutional video of Spain Brand It was released this Tuesday, February 16, at Casa de América. An audiovisual tour of some of the most important achievements of our country in sectors such as science, architecture or sports, as well as the values of solidarity and innovation that the work of many Spaniards represents.

Three and a half years after the birth of this initiative, we also wanted to pay tribute to civil, cultural and business society, which has contributed to spreading the positive image of Spain in the world. In the context of this presentation, the Office of the High Commissioner also wanted to show how different advertising campaigns have on multiple occasions made our country their own brand, and assumed the objectives of Brand Spain as their own.

For his part, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, José Manuel García-MargalloHe highlighted the progress and positive results of the work carried out, and therefore requested that, in "a time when greed abounds and ambition is lacking," the Spain Brand continue "without political bias." Turning to other matters, the minister expressed his conviction that the leaders Europeans will close this week the agreement with the United Kingdom that seeks to prevent its departure from the European Union.

In turn, the Minister of Industry, Energy and Tourism José Manuel SoriaAlso present at the event, he indicated that the current "abnormally low" oil prices are good news for Spain, but that the goal must be a balance since it affects economies with which the country has trade relations.
