Gas Natural Fenosa extends the Aenor Healthy Company certification to the Dominican Republic, Argentina, Brazil and Morocco

La Spanish Association for Standardization and Certification (AENOR) has granted certification Healthy Company to the subsidiaries of GAS NATURAL FENOSA in Argentina, Brazil, the Dominican Republic and Morocco. The energy multinational, which already had this certification in Spain since 2014, is the first Spanish firm to obtain it for other countries in which it operates.

 

The company receives this recognition after promoting a new comprehensive policy for the protection and promotion of health and well-being in all its processes, with different actions and social benefits for its employees. Gas Natural Fenosa is extending this new form of management, a pioneer in the world, to the countries in which it is present.

 

Gas Natural Fenosa was the first energy multinational to receive this certificate in Spain, thanks to its new management policy, based on the criteria of the World Health Organization (WHO) and in the continuous improvement methodology. The new model understands health as a complete state of physical, mental and social well-being. Its main objective is to promote healthy work environments.

To obtain certification, companies must meet the requirements of the Healthy Business Model and identify the risk factors that can influence the work environment, with the aim of controlling, reducing and eliminating them, taking into account the particularities of each organization. These factors are grouped into four large fields: physical environment, psychosocial environment, health resources and company participation in the community.
