Gestamp drives innovation at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in New Delhi

 

The Spanish company Gestamp, recognized for its leadership in the design and manufacture of metal components for the automotive sector, is actively participating in the Bharat Mobility Global Expo which takes place from 17 to 22 January in New Delhi, India. This global event brings together the latest innovations in the sector, being an ideal showcase for Gestamp to show its technological advances.

 

At this edition, Gestamp has presented advanced solutions that seek to comply with the strictest safety regulations, reduce CO2 emissions and optimise costs. The company is leading the change towards new mobility by developing key components for electric vehicles. These include lighter parts that improve autonomy and innovative designs that facilitate assembly processes.

 

At this international event, Gestamp reaffirms its commitment to innovation and its crucial role within the global automotive sector

 

 

Among the new features presented is the Door Ring, part of its range GES-GIGASTAMPINGThis integral component replaces multiple stamped parts, simplifying assembly and reducing costs. It also offers significant benefits such as improved structural integrity under impact, reduced overall vehicle weight and easier integration.

 

Gestamp has also exhibited its experience with high-strength tubular materials known as “Highpertubes”These materials significantly improve vehicle safety during collisions while reducing weight through reduced thickness without compromising strength.

 

On the other hand, Edscha Gestamp has introduced the Active Frunk, designed specifically for electric vehicles. This technology combines a motorized system for automatic opening and closing of the front hood with hinges designed to actively protect pedestrians.

 

Since its arrival in the Indian market in 2006, Gestamp has expanded its operations significantly. It currently has four production plants located mainly in Pune and Chakan, employing more than a thousand people. In addition, it has commercial offices and facilities dedicated to research and development (R&D) in Maharashtra.
