About the event Expand North Star, part of GITEX GLOBAL and the world's largest gathering of startups, returns from October 13-16, 2024 at the Dubai Port.
Organized by Dubai World Trade Center and sponsored by Dubai Chambers, Expand North Star will present innovative solutions in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Climate Tech, Fintech, Agritech and Health Tech. Germany leads the new additions with 40 startups, while the United Kingdom doubles its participation compared to the previous year, with 50 startups.

The UK, with a startup ecosystem valued at over $1,1 trillion and home to over 150 unicorns, is looking to tap into Expand North Star as a platform to explore new opportunities in markets of Asia and AfricaAccording to Hassan, “The delegation is keen to expand across the UAE, and this will be the main benefit for many participants.”
The 2024 edition will also be a key meeting point for investors, with the participation of 1.200 venture capital firms and the presence of leading firms such as SpeedInvest and H Tree Capital. In addition, the event will offer the Supernova Challenge, the world's largest pitch competition, with a prize pool of $200.000.
Expand North Star will connect attendees with over 65 global unicorns, including influential European companies such as Volocopter, BitPanda and Climeworks, which are among the most innovative and valuable startups on the continent.
