Interview with Isidoro J. Alanís, President and CEO of Global Exchange
We interviewed Isidoro J. Alanís, President and CEO of Global Exchange. Founded in 1996, it is the third largest currency exchange services company in the world, operating in international airports and other areas with a high tourist influx. Every year, 4 million customers exchange their currencies through them.
Alanís emphasized that "it's crucial to understand that you have to be better than the competition, both local and international, to succeed in the markets." He didn't rule out any country, saying, "We want to continue growing wherever there are opportunities, regardless of the geographical area."
The company has nearly 150 offices distributed in 45 international airports in 15 countries such as Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Uruguay, Mexico, Jamaica, Morocco, Spain, Nicaragua, Trinidad and Tobago, Paraguay, Guatemala, Saint Lucia and Jordan.
