GPTech now reaches the five continents thanks to new projects in Oceania

In its exit to foreign markets, GPTech considers that Extenda has been key

El Andalusian foreign sector has demonstrated its competitiveness as an engine of economic growth. Now more than ever, Andalucía remains as one of the most exporting communities in Spain, with exports of 25.206 million in the first eleven months of 2020, and a trade surplus of 2.583 million euros.

 

Internationally successful Andalusian companies such as GPTech, a Sevillian company that is a leader in technological solutions and projects for the development of renewable energies. 

 

The company, located in the municipality of Bollullos de la Mitacion, emerged in 2002 as a spin-off of the Sevilla University, and is, today, one of the main global technological agents. Precisely, in the past 2020, GPTech began to participate in the largest hybrid plant project (several renewable energies) in Latin America, specifically in the Atacama Desert, Chile. This project will offer energy supply and storage at no less than 2.800 meters high.  

 

GPTech began its exports in 2005 with an important project in Galapagos Islands, but it was not until two years later, when he began to trace the bases of its internationalization, after a decline in national projects. In just five years, it managed to raise its export quota to 90% of total annual turnover, a figure that has been maintained since then.

 

At present, GPTech has international subsidiaries in United States, Chile and South Africa and develops projects on all continents, since it has recently started its activity in Oceania. In this sense, its main clients are large global groups such as AES Energy, Grupo Acciona or Scatec Solar, among others. 

 

In this exit to foreign markets, GPTech He believes that Extenda has been key. "Extenda has helped us a lot in the internationalization process, through training, promotion, and attendance at events and trade fairs," he says. Expectations of GPTech The outlook for the future is very promising, given the promotion of new renewable energy projects, both in European countries and in developing nations. "It is essential to orient R&D towards the market to stay at the forefront. Furthermore, it provides us with the perfect context to invest in knowledge and talent to meet the challenges of the electricity market," he concludes.
