Greening and Atlantica join forces to promote renewable energy projects in the U.S.

 

Through a new joint venture, both companies will combine their strengths to drive the creation of photovoltaic parks and battery storage systems up to the « phaseReady to Build» (RtB).

 

Greening, through its American subsidiary Greening USA, will contribute to this collaboration an initial portfolio of projects totaling approximately 1.000 MWac of capacity in photovoltaic and/or BESS technology. For its part, Atlantic will contribute its solid investment capacity and experience in the development of sustainable infrastructure.

 

The alliance will focus on the development of projects located in the regions of Midcontinent Independent System Operator South (MISO South), which covers the Midwest and Southern U.S., and the Southwest Power Pool (SPP), which covers the central states of the country. The main objective is to bring renewable and storage projects to market that contribute to the stability of the electricity grid and local decarbonization goals.

 

The agreement will optimize project execution, streamline financing, and accelerate implementation times. Once the projects reach the RtB, Greening and Atlantica They will jointly decide whether to divide the assets or sell them to a third party. Both companies have expressed their intention to continue identifying and adding new renewable and battery projects to the joint venture in the coming years.
