Rapid Group: logistics applied in the textile industry

Currently, the main demands of industry and commerce in the distribution of goods are fast and efficient delivery. This is why automated sorting systems are essential. The technology behind these systems, which is generally quite expensive, becomes less costly when a high proportion of sorting is required across multiple destinations.

A system designed around an intelligent solution

Rápida Sistemas Integrales has created the PSB Ringsorter collection and distribution system, which can also be modularly adapted for specific applications. Its simple mechanical structure allows for high uptime and remarkably quiet operation. A rotary conveyor driven by belts sorts a wide range of items, from small packages and newspapers to textiles (packaged or unpackaged), among others. The key advantage of this system is the low transport speed in the center of the sorter compared to the high rotation speed at the periphery.

Versions of reception desks

The receiving stations come in various shapes and sizes, arranged around the rotary sorter. These stations are optimally adapted to the specific sorting operations required. They can receive bulk products for manual packaging, or products for direct sorting into storage or shipping containers, receptacles, boxes, wheeled container loading stations, sacks, bags, and other items.

The Rápida Group offers us special technical solutions such as double receiving stations, stacking devices or conveyor belts for other destinations.

system monitoring

The classification system control, designed with the latest industry technologies, provides operational safety for the facility.

Various sensors monitor material flow and sorting functions. For example, an automatic control system manages the loading and unloading positions of the star-shaped conveyor belts and the receiving stations.

Others are in charge of transporting the conveyor belts and their maneuvers, managing the load levels at the receiving stations, or forcibly unloading unidentified goods.

Identification of classified products

To identify products and code their destinations, traditional systems are used, such as distribution, according to the simple method of counting, registration with the help of manual or fixed scanners…

Unlimited

The performance of the Ringsorter is determined by its rotational speed, the number of belts arranged in a "star" configuration, and their diameter. Smaller diameters result in higher performance.

Capacity increases and modular systems

Sometimes, combining several sorters with different characteristics is necessary. In cases where there is a high demand for receiving stations in a small area, a double receiving station can be installed. Reversible conveyor belts are used for a large number of receiving stations with high capacity requirements. Other times, it is necessary to connect several lines, since the first sorter distributes to the main receiving stations and also transfers the receiving stations requiring fewer items to the next associated sorter.

Integrated solutions/profitability above all

The Ringsorter classifier is an important component in the PSB product line distributed by the Rapida Group, which offers a wide variety of modules with proven technology and highly cost-effective integrated solutions to customers.

Logistics and Movement Division

Solutions offered include the overhead warehouse handling system, which, among other advantages, allows for better space utilization, greater flexibility, and a reduction in errors and work peaks. Also noteworthy are the Selektron modular system (from PSB) for automated production and storage management, and conveyor and sorting systems.
