GS Inima strengthens its leadership in Brazil

 

El GS Inima Group, through its subsidiary GS Inima Brasil, has marked a momentous milestone in the Brazilian sanitation sector by being awarded Block 1 of the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) largest in the history of the state of Espírito SantoThe victory was achieved at the international auction promoted by CESAN (Companhia Espírito-santense de Saneamento), held at B3 – São Paulo Stock Exchange.

 

This strategic achievement consolidates GS Inima's outstanding position in the national market, reaffirming its technical expertise, long-term vision and firm commitment to the social and environmental progress of BrazilThe 25-year contract will mobilize an estimated investment and operation of €870 million (equivalent to 4.9 billion Brazilian reais). This large-scale initiative will implement high-performance wastewater collection and treatment services in 35 municipalities in the state, positively impacting the quality of life of millions of citizens.

This new contract builds on GS Inima's strong presence in Espírito Santo, where it already actively collaborates with CESAN on key projects, including the state's first innovative water reuse sub-concession. This pre-existing relationship has cemented a foundation of trust, operational efficiency, and tangible results, reinforcing the mutual commitment to sustainable development and improving the well-being of the Capixaba population.

 

Commitment to Sustainable and Transformative Development

 

The project awarded to GS Inima Brasil includes the construction of 39 Wastewater Treatment Plants (ETEs), 219 Wastewater Pumping Stations (AEE) and the installation of 1,200 kilometers of collection networks. These works will ensure that by 2033, more than 90% of the covered population will have access to wastewater treatment services, in line with the objectives of the new legal framework for the sector.

 

Beyond the direct benefits to public health and environmental protection, this initiative will foster job and income creation in the region, promoting structured, inclusive, and sustainable economic development in the 35 beneficiary municipalities.
