Historic agreement between Spain and Brazil: bilateral summit opens new stage in diplomatic relations

 

The recent Permanent Bilateral Commission Brazil-Spain, celebrated in Madrid, has marked a before and after in the relations between both countries. The meeting also served to address key issues for both nations, such as trade, investments and the agreement between the European Union and Mercosur.

 

 

In this regard, Albares highlighted Spain's commitment to the Free trade and the potential of the Mercosur-EU agreement to streamline the integration of both blocks in multiple dimensions.

 

Mauro Vieira, for his part, thanked the Spanish Government for its "constant support of the Mercosur-EU agreement" and highlighted the potential of this agreement to promote the sustainable and inclusive development of the member countries.

 

Another highlight of the meeting was the Promotion of the Spanish and Portuguese languages ​​in the Ibero-American contextAlbares stressed the commitment of both countries to strengthen scientific dissemination and training in their respective languages, especially through institutions such as the Cervantes Institute.

 

In addition to the Bilateral Commission, Brazilian Minister Mauro Vieira participated in a meeting organized by the Spain-Brazil Council Foundation, where he met with representatives from the public and private sectors to explore new opportunities for collaboration.
