HolaCamp begins its international expansion in Portugal with the acquisition of Camping Albufeira

The company, specialized in the management and tour operation of campsites, will invest more than 4 million euros in the next three years to improve the facilities of this 26-hectare campsite, located in a privileged location in the Algarve.

Alfonso Leprevost, CEO of HolaCampThe company highlighted the importance of this acquisition due to its "prime location in a natural setting, a top-tier international tourist destination, and its large size, which will allow us to create different spaces depending on the type of customer." The chain also achieved an occupancy rate of over 90% during the summer in its glamping tents, which it considers a "very positive result" for its first summer operating at the campsite.

With this addition, the chain reaches 9 campsites under management, in the process of national and international expansion.

With this operation, HolaCamp adds its first asset outside Spain and now has a total of nine campsites under management. In addition, it plans to add at least five new campsites per year, strengthening its operational structure and expanding its team in Barcelona by more than 30 employees.

Leprevost also pointed out the transformation that the camping sector is undergoing in Portugal, with growing demand since the pandemic and an evolution towards more diversified models, such as glamping and tiny homes.
