Secartys, the Spanish Association of Electronics and IT Exporters, organized, with the support of ICEX, the Conference on the distribution of Spanish software in Brazil and Mexico, which took place within the framework of SIMO TCI.
The event was attended by delegations from renowned distributors of software, consumables, communications and networks from Mexico, Brazil, Chile and Colombia, among other countries, interested in establishing commercial agreements with Spanish companies.
Secartys organized the sessions at the 42nd edition of SIMO 2002.
The sessions consisted of several informative seminars and individual interviews where the company was advised in a personalized way, addressing specific queries according to the specific interests of each one.
At the same time, during the course of this event, a meeting of the Soft Group was held, at the initiative of Secartys, in which nearly 70 Spanish companies of software, internet and related services were grouped, with the intention of creating a platform that defines common strategies and actions, both for international promotion and business competitiveness.
The group's activities in 2002 were evaluated, including the Trade Fair Missions in Brazil and Mexico and the upcoming publication of the first Export Catalog of Spanish Software. The group defined strategies for 2003, such as new missions to Peru and Cuba, the opening of business centers specializing in software sales in Latin America, conducting market research, extending invitations to software buyers from Central America and the Caribbean, and promoting the Secartys E-commerce Platform worldwide.
…and how to promote it in India
The Association of Electronic and Information Technology Industries of the Basque Country, Gaia, organized a trade mission to India at the end of October to promote the entry of Basque SMEs in the sector into the country.
During the meetings, cooperation projects in the field of software were established between companies from both countries.
One of the objectives was to explore access to the Chinese market, given the significant demand for software programs in that country. Gaia also had the opportunity to learn about the realities of the sector in India.
