The winning company in the category Atlas Grand Prix You will receive funds to finance a trade mission in the country of your choice, facilitating your entry into new international markets.
The jury, made up of independent experts and business professionals, evaluated aspects such as the export track record, the human team, the pioneering spirit, the sustainability and the diversity of the candidate SMEs.
Statements from the jury members:
Nicolas Mouze, marketing and sales director at DHL Express, expressed his satisfaction: “In the end, we have 147 companies that have applied and since there are four awards, we are very happy, but above all we are happier with the quality. There are more and more companies that apply, that prepare their dossier better, and that help us a lot in making decisions. This year we have seen an increase in the number of applications in Madrid, Barcelona and Navarra.”
Beatrice Reguero, director of the Cesce state account area, highlighted the diversity of sectors among the candidates: “I think there has been a fairly good balance between different sectors, a diversification that is very healthy. The sectors that have performed best have been the technological sector and the traditional ones that are adapting to new sustainability and innovation strategies.”
Margarita Ramon, director of the ICEX executive council, said: “This year’s applications reflect the good health of the Spanish foreign sector. Spanish companies are competitive and know that they must enter international markets. The representation of traditional and new sectors, such as robotics, is striking, and the common denominator in all of them has been innovation.”
Maria Lazarus, ADigital's director of development and marketing, stressed the importance of e-commerce: “E-commerce plays a very important role in the Atlas awards. The digitalisation of the sales channel allows SMEs to diversify risks and be more efficient. However, only 9% of sales are cross-border, which represents a major challenge.”
Pablo Lopez, director of the Forum of renowned Spanish brands, highlighted the role of the foreign sector: “The foreign sector has been a key lever for growth and competitiveness for our economy. We must continue working so that the Spain brand adds value to companies in any sector.”
Finally, María Carrasco, secretary general of the Exporters Club, emphasized the resilience of internationalized companies: “Companies that are internationalized have demonstrated greater strength and resilience in difficult times in business. It is essential to continue supporting those that develop international businesses.”
This edition of the DHL Atlas Export Awards It not only highlights the effort and dedication of Spanish SMEs, but also reaffirms the commitment to promote internationalisation as a driver of growth in the country's economy.
