Tecnoport 2025 Project
This morning marked the start of the first edition of a logistics conference at the Port of Seville. The occasion: the presentation of an ambitious, innovative, and, of course, technological project by the University of Seville, Tecnoport 2025.
90 kilometers from its mouth, the Port of Seville it is the only inland seaport from Spain. This, has set itself the challenge of increasing its appeal as intermodal logistics hub especially for certain traffic through the application of technology with this project.
This is an R&D project that the University of Seville is developing through its Research Foundation and in which companies such as Isotrol, Portel, Telefónica and Thales, as well as Serviport Andalucía, are also participating.
Today's session focused primarily on the project and its technological challenges. This afternoon, a guided tour of the Port of Seville was offered. Tomorrow, the event will continue with several presentations and topics such as: the efficiency study of the Madrid-Canary Islands corridor; the Port of Seville as an inland logistics hub; and a roundtable discussion on the Port of Seville as... international expantion.
