Iberdrola awards Taylor Woodrow the contract for the East Anglia Two onshore substation in the UK

Iberdrola has taken a significant step in the development of the offshore wind farm East Anglia Two, when awarding to Taylor Woodrow preparatory works for the land-based substation. This facility will be located in Friston, near Saxmundham, and is part of the ambitious project that ScottishPower Renewables is developing in the North Sea. With a projected capacity of 960 MWThis initiative will not only boost the local economy but also strengthen the British offshore industry.

The contract includes tasks such as road improvement works and landscaping, with an expected creation of approximately 80 jobs during its execution. This announcement is one in a recent series of agreements reached by ScottishPower Renewables following the success obtained in the Round 6 of Allocation held last September.

Among the notable contracts is one related to the supply and manufacture of turbines for a value of more than 1.000 million pounds (approximately 1.200 billion euros), which will allow efficient and sustainable production for the 64 turbines that will make up this wind farm.

This development reflects the continued commitment by both the British government and private companies to renewable sources as a key driver within today's energy sector.
