It will build a combined cycle power plant for 311 million
Iberdrola Ingeniería has been awarded a turnkey contract for the construction of a combined cycle power plant in Russia with an installed capacity of 403 megawatts (MW), for 311 million euros.
This contract, the first the company has secured in the country since opening a commercial office in 2005, involves the development, within a period of 35 months, of this new gas plant, including design, equipment purchase, construction and assembly.
The new plant will be located in Sredneuralk, in the Ural region, and will be able to supply electricity to more than 500.000 inhabitants.
This new combined cycle is the third that the company will build for other companies abroad, after those in Latvia, of 420 MW, and Qatar, of 2.000 MW, the largest in the Middle East.
