Interested companies can apply directly to participate in the program
ICEX APIEm (Personalized Advice for Business Internationalization) is a new support program that will allow Spanish SMEs with little or no export experience to know their international development potential at zero cost.
Its objective is to advise and incorporate internationalization into 3.500 companies from all over Spain that are not yet taking advantage of the public support available for this, before the end of 2024. It must be taken into account that, of the 3,37 million companies that existed in Spain in 2021, only 6,9% exported and only one of every four firms did so regularly.
The program offers the company:
- Un capacity diagnosis, carried out through micro-consulting and a personalized report with specific recommendations for your case. This service is provided by ICEX through a team of consultants operating in all Spanish provinces.
- A selection of, among support services and instruments offered by the different institutions related to business internationalization, those that best suit your particular situation.
- The discovery of what are, for each case, the most appropriate markets and channels to start or consolidate its presence in foreign markets.
- days of networking in which you can learn about experiences and good practices of exporting companies and receive recommendations from experts on specific topics of interest for the internationalization process.
Internationalization of women's businesses
APIEm also aims, as an additional objective, to identify women-owned businesses that access the program, promoting their Capabilities and thus contributing to increasing its presence in foreign markets.
This objective is part of ICEX's own objectives, which it has incorporated into its action plan, and is aligned with the commitments to promote gender equality of the 2030 Agenda and the United Nations SDGs, inspiring principles of the Next Generation Funds. of the EU and the Spanish Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR) in which the APIEm program is framed.
Although the program will identify and contact Spanish companies proactively, it is also open to the participation of interested parties who, by meeting the requirements, request it directly.
