Problems facing the execution of contracts
Webinar to help export companies facing critical issues in international contracts with multilateral institutions.
ICEX Spain Export and Investment, la Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in Washington DC, the law firm Cuatrecasas and the representative of Spain in the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), have organized a webinar to help exporting companies who are facing critical problems in international contracts with multilateral institutions.
The session was moderated by Sara Hormigo, head of the ICEX Multilateral Department in Washington DC, which has covered the main problems encountered by Spanish exporters in their contracting with multilateral institutions. Mainly the critical questions regarding the company's ability to fulfill contracts and how to mitigate the resulting problems.
The current problems derived from the pandemic and that affect the execution of contracts themselves: the supply chains that are being affected, the employees who are in very different conditions than usual due to being subject to stay-at-home orders, the workforce that is being affected by illnesses and family care problems as well as products that may be subject to new restrictions on import Export.
Participants have been oriented on mechanisms to minimize problems and conflicts, as well as on the importance of coordination with the representation of the Public Administration abroad.
