IE University has strengthened its international leadership position by placing four of its postgraduate programs among the best in the world, according to prestigious QS Business Masters Rankings 2026This success is accompanied by an ambitious research investment plan for the next five years.

 

The institution has achieved outstanding positions, reaffirming its academic and professional excellence:

• Global Online MBA: 2nd in the world.

• Master in Strategic Marketing & Communication: 5th in the world.

• Master in Management: 7th in the world.

• International MBA: 11th in the world.

 

The QS rankings assess key criteria such as employability of the graduates, the professional career, academic profile of the students and the institutional leadership.

In an announcement that underlines its commitment to the forefront of knowledge, IE University has revealed a plan to double the size of its research faculty in the next five yearsThe project includes the hiring of more than 200 new researchers and a substantial increase in resources dedicated to R&D.

 

Currently, IE University allocates the 16,7% of its budget to R&D, with an intensity of 1,4% of direct GDP, a figure significantly higher than the European average. Over three decades, its academics have published more than 3.300 items, more than 55.000 appointments.

For the 2025-2026 academic year, IE University welcomes more than 10.000 students from 160 countries, maintaining a highly international profile with a 90% of foreign students and 53% of women.

 

The university is also expanding its training offerings to adapt to future demands, launching four new programs that combine humanities, technology and design: the Bachelor in Political Science, Dual Degree in Business & Political Science, Master in Design and the Master in Technology & Global Affairs.
