Iberdrola promotes European electrification for growth and competitiveness

 

This landmark collaboration, which brings together 60 influential leaders from the public and private sectors, civil society and expert organizations, is a direct result of the discussions held during the WEF Annual Meeting in Davos last January.

 

A crucial point on the agenda in Brussels was the vast potential of the electrification to strengthen the strategic autonomy of the European UnionParticipants emphasized how electrification can be a catalyst for competitiveness, industrial development, job creation, and the continent's ambitious decarbonization agenda.

 

In this context, the critical importance of the electrical grid infrastructuresThey were identified as key elements for securing energy supply, facilitating the connection of growing demand, and enabling the large-scale integration of indigenous renewable resources across Europe. To ensure the necessary investments in this vital area, the leaders stressed the urgency of establishing clear and stable policy and regulatory frameworks.
