We always have to think about everything that has to do with the brand from the perspective of internationalization of brands, which is why it is positive that we work with the same legal framework," he explained. Pablo López, general director of the Renowned Brands Forum.
During the meeting, the focus was also placed on the scope of the regulations and the new scenarios it offers, "we have highlighted the importance that the possibility of registering non-conventional trademarks through audio, video, and other files has right now. “The possibility of protecting many elements of brand composition through the EU is formal registration,” he stressed. Carmen González, director of PONS IP Brands which has also highlighted the importance of joint work between the legal and marketing departments, among other aspects.
