Strengthen internationalization

“We cannot be complacent: internationalization is a differentiating factor. Today we have nearly 60.000 companies that export regularly, and almost 200.000 that do so on an irregular basis,” said the Director General of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce.

The CEO of Chamber of Commerce of Spain, Inmaculada Riera, has detailed the challenges and commitments faced by the cameral network that has in its DNA “support for Capabilities companies, particularly SMEs".  

 

Among the commitments and challenges detailed by Riera are continuing to increase the export base, consolidating the number of companies with external presence, betting on the geographical diversification of markets, as well as improving the added value of the exports, in addition to promoting and expanding individualized advice and training programs for SMEs.

 

He has also referred to the importance of Europe “making open strategic autonomy compatible with the values ​​of multilateralism. If we are able to do this, globalization will continue.”

 

“We cannot settle: internationalization is a differential value. Today we have nearly 60.000 companies that export regularly, and almost 200.000 that do so on a non-regular basis. The economic fabric needs reinforce internationalization", stated Riera during one of the inaugural conferences of the course "Towards a new international economic order", sponsored by the Chamber of Spain on the campus of Santander of the Menéndez Pelayo International University (UIMP).

 

This first session of the course that will end on July 7 has also included the interventions of Carlos Andradas, Rector of the UIMP; Gonzalo Solana, director of the Nebrija Santander Chair in Business Internationalization at the Nebrija University, and Alfonso García Mora, vice president of the IFC-World Bank.

 

The general director of the Chamber of Spain has also referred to the importance of Europe “makes open strategic autonomy compatible with the values ​​of multilateralism. If we are able to do this, globalization will continue,” he assured in reference to the geostrategic changes that the world map is experiencing. “We all have the obligation to participate in this process of change and make compatibility between the two objectives possible,” said the general director of the Chamber of Spain.
