India, a strategic market for Spanish companies in infrastructure, energy and technology

 

With economic growth projected to make the country the world's third largest economy by 2030 and annual growth of over 6,5%, India is emerging as a strategic market.

 

During the event, the Indian ambassador to Spain and representatives of the FIEO highlighted the role of cities such as Mumbai and Bangalore in the economic development of the country. The National Infrastructure Pipeline (NIP), a plan valued at 1,4 billion dollars, which represents a great opportunity for Spanish engineering and construction companies. In addition, India aims to generate 500 GW of renewable energy by 2030, which opens another niche for collaboration in the energy sector.

 

The rise of the technology sector, driven by programs Digital India y Make in India, also offers new opportunities, especially in Bangalore, considered the “Asia's Silicon Valley.” In addition, the health sector, with the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), is another area of ​​interest to improve access to medical services in rural areas.

 

Angel Asensio, President of the Madrid Chamber of Commerce, said: “India, with more than 1.400 billion inhabitants and a young population, is a crucial market for Spain, offering access to important global markets.” The Chamber of Commerce reiterated its commitment to supporting the internationalization of Spanish companies in this expanding market.
