Indra is already being implemented in the new green and clean BRT vehicles of Brisbane Metro, Australia, the most advanced technology for public transport management, which has been successfully tested in a pilot thanks to which the Brisbane City Council You will be able to validate and work with the company in the final design of the solution.

The Brisbane Metro project will transform Brisbane's mobility, improving accessibility, reducing congestion and increasing the use of public transport in Australia's third most populous city, which will host the 2032 Olympics. Brisbane Metro will operate along 21 kilometers of existing and upgraded busways, using 100% electric vehicles, with the capacity to carry large numbers of passengers and operate a high-frequency service.

The pilot, implemented by Indra in a test environment in the cloud Amazon Web Services (AWS), in which different microservices have been deployed, has made it possible to validate with real data the core functionalities of the system for the operator, the operation of all the equipment on board the vehicles, as well as the integration with selected external systems.

The technological platform implemented has been based on the solution In-Mova Transit from Indra that offers a global vision of the entire transportation ecosystem, in terms of service level (punctuality, regulation, quality or compliance) and the state of the infrastructure, both traffic and stations. It provides all the necessary tools for the operation of the transportation service in real time, including business analytics techniques to optimize and improve quality.

«At Indra we are very proud to join Brisbane's green mobility with this powerful and sophisticated self-developed cloud platform. Technology is playing a key role in the transformation of the mobility sector and will do so even more in the coming years. As a technological engineering company and one of the most sustainable companies in the world in our sector, at Indra we promote more sustainable mobility, as well as collaborative, safe and efficient, through innovative solutions that incorporate the latest digital technologies and provide intelligence to management," highlights José Vicente de los Mozos, CEO of Indra.

For its part, Berta Barrero, general director of Indra's Mobility business, explains that «Brisbane Metro is an example of future mobility, sustainability, safety, efficiency and cutting-edge technology. Based on a large amount of data extracted from different sources, our solution offers a global vision and management of the service that allows it to be completely oriented to the citizen, offering a better experience. In addition, it optimizes resources and offers the greatest efficiency in operation and the greatest control of energy consumption and is prepared for multimodal and multifleet management, which will offer the Brisbane City Council the opportunity to expand the use of the system to other vehicles. its public transport network," highlights Berta Barrero, general director of Indra's Mobility business.
