The First International Aeronautics Symposium brings together more than 300 experts in Sabadell
In addition to a business platform, the International Air show Meeting has also established itself as a professional and business knowledge hub. On October 4th and 5th, the 1st International Aeronautics Symposium provided a platform for disseminating and discussing international initiatives related to the development of business aviation. The technical sessions, held at the Fira de Sabadell Auditorium, brought together more than 300 experts who actively participated in the Symposium's four sessions.
The first session, entitled Future of general aviation in EuropeThe meeting, held on Thursday, served to highlight the differences between Spanish regulations and those of the rest of Europe. Afterwards, the session Infrastructure. Aviation GeneralThis provided an opportunity to learn about the infrastructure management models of Luton (United Kingdom) and Cannes (France), as well as their commitments and actions in promoting and developing the aeronautical sector. In this session, the Director General of Ports, Airports and Coasts of the Government of Catalonia, Oriol Balaguer presented the new airport and heliport plan that has just been approved.Balaguer announced the creation of an airport corporation that will work alongside the private sector to revitalize the aeronautical industry.
En the session Aviation business and aerial workAt the conference held on Friday morning, Oscar Barnés, CEO of SOKO Aviation, stated that "private aviation is the embryo of business aviation," an idea echoed by the other speakers. There was also unanimous agreement that for the development of private aviation, it is essential that EASA and the other regulatory bodies adopt the US model, which is simpler and more conducive to the technological advancement of the sector.
The closing session Private aviation and training, moderated by Carles MartThe President of the Barcelona Sabadell Aeroclub addressed safety-related aspects, such as the parachutes incorporated into many aircraft, the procedures and conditions for becoming a private pilot, and the ease with which many of them have gained access to handling ultralight aircraft (ULM), which still enjoy less restrictive regulations.
In parallel with the Symposium, the International Air show Meeting continues until Sunday, showcasing more than 30 aircraft at Sabadell Airport and presenting the latest innovations from over 50 exhibiting companies at Fira Sabadell and the airport grounds. Throughout the event, flights and gifts are being raffled off to visitors who stop by the stands of L'Aeroteca, Speed Fly, AeroClub Barcelona Sabadell, CESDA, and Simtech Design.
