A new contract with Iberdrola

ingeteam will be in charge of blade inspection in the German offshore park Viking. For the company it represents a new contract with Iberdrola in the same facility, since it was also responsible for its start-up in 2018 and carried out the corresponding quality inspections in 2021. This offshore park, located next to the island of Rügen, is part of the largest offshore wind complex in the sea Baltic and accumulates 70 wind turbines with a total power of 350 MW.
The work that Ingeteam will carry out involves great complexity, which is why it requires that the entire team have extensive experience in demonstrable blade inspection, since it is carried out through vertical access with ropes. The 21 wind turbines that will be inspected have a total height of 165 meters, and are made up of a piece on which the 222-tonne propellers rotate, a rotor measuring 135 meters in diameter, whose blades are each 67 meters long, and a tower 75 meters high.
The company, which was already in charge of the start-up of this offshore park for Iberdrola in 2018, now obtains a new contract to carry out the blade inspection work
The human team involved in this project is specialized in these tasks and has specific approved training to be able to work in offshore environments and face rescues in complex situations or risk analysis in vertical work.
