ingeteam has been selected by BP to equip its refinery in Lingen, Germany, with cutting-edge technology for the production of renewable hydrogen.
From 2025, the refinery will produce up to 11.000 tonnes of green hydrogen annually, using offshore wind energy supplied through a PPA. Ingeteam will manufacture in Navarra 40 rectifiers that will feed the electrolysers responsible for generating hydrogen. This project will replace the use of grey hydrogen, contributing to the decarbonisation of the sector. With this contract, Ingeteam exceeds half a gigawatt of power awarded in green hydrogen projects worldwide.
To date, Ingeteam has supplied its technology to power electrolysers for projects in Germany, Belgium, Australia, Spain, the United States and Canada.
Harkaitz IbaiondoIngeteam's Green H2 business director stated: "We are very proud to have the opportunity to supply our technology to a project of this magnitude. It is undoubtedly a significant reward for the effort and hard work of the entire team, a success for us, and positions us as one of the leading manufacturers in the industry."
