The meetings, held in Santiago and Bogotá, have been organized in collaboration with the Chambers of Commerce of Spain in Chile and Colombia, with which he IPEX has collaborated on different projects since 2011. Specifically, these will be the fifth and seventh trade missions respectively that for these sectors are carried out in said markets.

In both cities, an introductory meeting to the country and a review of agendas was held by the Chamber of Commerce of Spain, having taken part in the presentation of Chile the Economic and Commercial Advisor of Spain, Mr. Álvaro Denia, and having held a subsequent meeting in Bogotá between the Economic and Commercial Advisor, Mr. Manuel Valle, and the person responsible for the promotion of consumer goods and services IPEX, José Félix González.

Chile is one of the most mature but also stable markets in Latin America, has numerous free trade agreements - among them with the European Union, in force since 1999 - and has modern distribution chains for consumer goods. Likewise, the fashion and decoration and contract products sectors for hotel, commercial, residential and community projects have potential high-segment clients.

For its part, Colombia It is a market that has evolved well over the last two decades, despite the successive crises suffered, and it hosts a large supply of Spanish companies due to the free trade agreement with the European Union, in force since 2013, and with a population of 51 million inhabitants. Sectors such as hotel contract and services, among which great opportunities arise for tourism, stand out above the rest.

This action is part of the IPEX consumer goods and services promotion plan for 2023 and is the second carried out for these sectors in Latin America this year, after Mexico last February, giving continuity to a market of enormous potential and exponential growth for our SMEs in the coming years.
