The "Internationalization Strategies: Financing and Global Positioning" conference brings together business leaders and experts

 

 

The Santoña Palace in Madrid was the setting for the conference "Internationalization Strategies: Financing and Global Positioning", organized by Altos International and Chamber of MadridThis meeting, designed for business leaders, seeks inspire, connect, and accelerate the global growth of Spanish companies.

 

The event's agenda, which extended throughout the morning, included opening presentations by prominent figures such as Kareen Rispal, Ambassador of FranceEsther Calvo, International Development Manager of the Official Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Madrid, and Diego de Arístegui, Investment Director of Invest in Madrid.

 

Subsequently, a panel discussion on "Challenges and Opportunities of Internationalization" was held, in which the following participated: Javier Figar, General Manager of Global Operations at TENDAMMarta Valero, Director of Infrastructure and Industrial Technology at ICEX, and Abel del Villar, Sales Director for Southern Europe at St. Michel Biscuterie.

 

One of the central blocks addressed "Internationalization: financing tools and risk management", with the participation of Ricardo Santamaría, Director of Country Risk and Debt Management at CesceJosé María Alarcón, Head of International Business Department at Santander, Javier Vega, International Director of Innovations at IMABE, and Cristina Mena, Deputy Director of Business Development at COFIDES.

 

José María Alarcón, Head of the International Business Department at SantanderHe commented on his participation: “We participated in a session organized by Altos International Club on internationalization strategies, and specifically, I participated as a moderator on the panel about collection instruments and risk management in the international arena. Our panelists included Ricardo Santamaría, Director of Country Risk and Debt at CESCE… Javier Vega, Director of Internationalization at Innovación y Desarrollo and Mave and Eco Fides. Through their representatives, Teresa Madrigal, the Internationalization Manager, gave us a much closer look at how COFIDES can contribute not only to the financing of large projects and large companies, but also of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), thus democratizing this new financing model for international projects. Javier Vega gave us an idea of ​​the challenges SMEs face internationally and, above all, how financially sound companies also require international financing to optimize and make their projects profitable.” And finally, Ricardo Santamaría has given us an overview of how he contributes his expertise and, above all, his coverage to internationalization projects through various financing instruments to reduce risk exposure not only for large companies, but also for small and medium-sized Spanish companies.

 

The day also dedicated a space to "Asia's positioning in the global context", with presentations by Tomás González, President of ASEMPEARafael Domínguez, Financial Director of the Zona Centro Aeronautical Group, Manuel Valdés Colón de Carvajal, Vice President of Globaltec, and Muhammad Escudero, CEO of the Halal Institute.

During the event, representatives from 22 international Altios offices met individually with Spanish companies, who presented their projects in meetings. Kasia added: "In addition, the auditorium hosted three roundtables where high-level speakers and leading Spanish companies with an international presence shared their experiences, offering attendees key strategies for growth beyond their local market."  

 

Throughout the day, attendees had the opportunity to maintain personalized meetings with specialists from different countries, a key initiative to resolve doubts, explore opportunities, and chart new paths for global expansion for their companies. This practical and strategic approach underscores the organizers' commitment to promoting the international reach of Spanish companies.
