El Steering Committee of the Aragonese Association of Arbitration and Mediation, in a meeting he appointed as the new president José María Cester Beatobe and as the new secretary of the Court Paz Montenegro Gutierrez. Also agreed in the session was the incorporation as a new associate of the College of Civil Engineering, Channels and Ports. In this way, the Court begins a new stage to continue its important work of disseminating and promoting civil and commercial arbitration and mediation.

La Aragonese Court of Arbitration and Mediation emerged 15 years ago with the firm conviction that to implement arbitration and mediation as means of conflict resolution in our community it was necessary to unify all agents, to gain efficiency, take advantage of resources and generate a single focus of attention, that is create a Court as a single autonomous institution made up of all types of professionals.

Thus, it was established in 2008 by the Council of Bar Associations of Aragon, the Notarial College of Aragon and the Aragonese Council of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Aragon. Currently the Court also brings together other colleges, among them, the College of Industrial Engineers of Aragon and La Rioja, the College of Economists of Aragon, the Professional College of Technical Engineers in Computer Science of Aragon, the College of Property Administrators of Aragon and now the College of Civil Engineers, Canals and Ports.

La Aragonese Court provides a private conflict resolution tool for companies and individuals, administering and managing arbitration and mediation procedures with efficiency and speed in the solution and absolute legal security, generating trust in contractual relationships. To guarantee the quality of the system, the Court has a large list of professional arbitrators and mediators specialized in matters.

Another fundamental objective of the Court is the dissemination of the culture of arbitration and mediation, that is, the promotion of alternative means for resolving conflicts. That is why the Aragonese Court participated in the World Business Mediation Summit which took place on May 25 and 26, 2023 in Valladolid, organized by the Chamber of Commerce, and which welcomed more than 800 participants to reflect, debate and learn about the vision of companies and experts from various sectors and countries on mediation applied to the company.
