José Vicente de los Mozos, CEO of Indra Group, urges unity in the European defense industry

The CEO of Indra Group, José Vicente de los Mozos, made an urgent call during the International Defense Fair (FEINDEF) On Madrid for a reorganization and unification of the industry european defense.

Under the title of the round table "Indra's vision for the defense industry", moderated by the journalist Monica CarrilloDe los Mozos emphasized the need to "establish a strong and cohesive fabric" and stated categorically: "we must go to Europe united."

Faced with the prospect of an increase in defense budgets and the launch of important European programs, the executive of Indra He warned about the window of opportunity "of three to five years to enter them," underscoring the need for rapid growth by companies in the sector.

De los Mozos highlighted Indra's recent initiatives as examples of its responsiveness and leadership. He mentioned the creation of a "leader in the Space sector" through Indra Espacio and the acquisitions of Hispasat and Deimos. He also highlighted the launch of Indra Land Vehicles to address the renewal of armored vehicles, the development of the advanced Aracne anti-drone system, the intelligence platform IndraMind, and the consolidation of Indra as a leader in cyber defense in Europe and NATOAccording to De los Mozos, these actions are a direct response to the "lessons that Ukraine teaches us."

Indra's CEO also highlighted the company's "extraordinary technological potential," noting that Indra is involved in 12 of the last 19 R&D projects announced by the European Union.

With an ambitious vision, De los Mozos declared: "We have to grow if we want to be relevant in Europe. We have the ambition to reach 10.000 billion euros in revenue and, to achieve this, we have to grow both organically and inorganically."

Finally, he clarified that Indra's strategy is not limited to acquisitions, but also includes the establishment of "alliances both in Spain and in Europe and globally", demonstrating a "dynamic" moment for the company with a clear strategic direction.
