Spanish customs as a strategic ally for business internationalization

 

 

La Spanish customs has established itself as a strategic player in the international trade, facilitating Capabilities of companies and optimizing the trade flows. In her speech, Nerea Rodríguez highlighted: "Spanish Customs is not only a key point for control and foreign trade controlbut also a strategic asset for the internationalization of companies.".

 

Alejandro Arola, for his part, stressed the importance of dialogue between the administration and companies: "The role of the Customs Foundation has been precisely to facilitate contact, share information and help to reflect on solutions for customs management". Arola also highlighted the relevance of the reforms introduced by the new Union Customs Code, which will progressively affect economic operators in the coming years. "We've discussed virtually all customs procedures, future changes, and the challenges that both operators and administrations will face. Our sincere thanks to the Chamber of Commerce and Spanish Customs for this opportunity for reflection and debate.".

 

One of the highlights of the day was the round table on post-clearance control and the role of customs inspection, where specialists such as Hope Castaneda, Deputy Head of Tax and Customs Control of the Central Delegation of Large Taxpayers, and Jordi Tostado, head of customs in Kuehne & Nagel.

 

The adaptation of e-commerce to new customs regulations was also a key issue. "The digital commerce "It is forcing changes to customs processes to expedite clearances and reduce costs."Said Eva Pedruelo, head of the National Customs Management Office.

 

From the private sector, another of the attendees expressed his satisfaction with the event: "For me, it was a very novel event. The event, held at Palace of Santona, allowed participating companies to raise questions and learn first-hand about the key functions of Customs, the essential procedures for customs control and clearance, and how this institution can become a strategic ally to optimize global commercial operations. Providing a space to ask questions, resolve doubts, and understand the future of Customs is key to the competitiveness of companies.", said another of the speakers.
