The British company Crimtan will direct its expansion plan for Spain and southern Europe from Asturias

The implementation of Crimtan in Asturias is the eleventh project that arrives in Asturias as a result of the Investment Attraction Strategy launched by the Ministry of Industry, Employment and Economic Promotion.

The British multinational Crimtan Holdings Ltd, specialized in advertising and digital marketing, has announced its implementation in Asturias, from where it will direct its expansion plans in the national market and its growth in the southern countries of Europe.

The company will develop its activities for Spain from the business center La Pipa, in Gijón, through the subsidiary Crimtan Esp SL established in December. Initially, it plans to create 13 jobs with the goal of reaching 24 jobs within three years with a workforce specialized in programmatic advertising, analytics, data science and artificial intelligence.

The project was presented this morning at a public event chaired by the Minister of Industry, Enrique Fernandez, in which they have also participated Paul Goad, CEO (CEO) of Crimtan and several company officials, Alex Lawton, promoter of the La Pipa technological ecosystem, as well as the general director of Idepa, Eva Pando.

The implementation of Crimtan in Asturias is the eleventh project that arrives in Asturias as a result of the Investment Attraction Strategy launched by the Ministry of Industry, Employment and Economic Promotion to alleviate the effects of the pandemic and promote the reactivation of the economy.

The strategy is coordinated by Idepa (Institute of Economic Development of the Principality of Asturias) and is implemented as a public-private collaboration action with the participation of the Chambers of Commerce, the Asturian Federation of Entrepreneurs (Trays) and think tanks Asturias XXI and Asturias Power Commitment.

 

 

From Asturias, Crimtan will provide a range of services related to digital advertising that include display, video, native advertising, outdoor and connected television advertising

With the implementation of Crimtan, the strategy adds a volume of investment captured close to 200 million with an estimate of 722 jobs, most of them highly qualified in the ICT, engineering and health sectors.

The Minister of Industry has expressed his satisfaction with the implementation of Crimtan in Asturias, a decision that in his opinion confirms that the Principality It is becoming a pole of attraction for investments with great potential in areas such as ICT. He has highlighted the company's growth possibilities and the opportunities that are opening up for the creation of new jobs in technical profiles with high added value.

From Asturias, Crimtan will provide a range of services related to digital advertising that include display, video, native advertising, outdoor and connected television advertising.

According to the company's plans, from Asturias will contact directly the companies for which it provides advertising services. Its main customer profile is tourism and retail e-commerce companies.

The company's goal is to provide service throughout the national territory within two years and since then expand to southern Europe from its center in Asturias.

Although it initially foresees the creation of 24 jobs in 3 years, if it carries out the opening of satellite offices in Madrid and Barcelona, the company has indicated that investment and the number of employees will increase considerably.

To do this, it is already working with the University of Oviedo with the aim of creating training programs in programmatic advertising, analytics, data science and artificial intelligence, as well as developing training programs to meet future personnel needs.

The company will be headquartered in Gijón and will work with the Remotive agency serving agencies based in Madrid and Barcelona and will evolve to also serve local online publishers. Its location at the headquarters of The Pipe It is the result of collaboration agreements signed with Asturian companies Bedrock Humanized Intelligence and Remotive, both based in this space, with the continued support of Idepa.
