The Chamber of Spain promotes entrepreneurial talent at South Summit 2023

Event to be held between June 7 and 9

The Chamber of Spain participates in the edition of the South Summit 2023, which this year will be held in La Nave in Madrid under the motto Today 2030, through a stand serving entrepreneurs.

The president of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, Joseph Louis Bonet, who will participate in the opening of this edition, has stated that “our objective is to strengthen the position of Chambers of Commerce as a pole of attraction for new entrepreneurial profiles that, using new technologies, have projects with high scalability. In addition, we want to know first-hand the needs of entrepreneurs in order to design new programs and initiatives that can boost them.”

 

For the Chamber of Spain, its presence in forums such as South Summit is an essential lever to open its range of action and that of the network of Chambers of Commerce, especially after the approval of what is known as 'StartUp Law', which has increased the possibilities of creating high-value and fast-growing companies through new technologies.

 

In last year's edition, South Summit managed to bring together 6.000 attendees and more than 200 investment funds with an investment portfolio of 235.000 million euros

 

 

The Chamber of Spain stand will be attended by technical staff from the Chamber of Spain and also from Chamber of Madrid, who will advise entrepreneurs in searching for technological partners or expanding markets through internationalization. In addition to the Chamber of Madrid staff collaborating at the stand, staff from the Chamber of Commerce will attend the South Summit. Chamber of Terrassa, Chamber of Tenerife, Chamber of Linares, Chamber of Cáceres and Chamber of Tarragona.

The Chamber of Spain and the network of Chambers have in their DNA support for entrepreneurship and entrepreneurs, considered an essential part of the business fabric. Among the main programs to promote entrepreneurship of the Chamber of Spain are:

PAEM Program: focused on raising awareness among women and their environment towards self-employment and business activity as an effective instrument for the creation and consolidation of companies.

Spain Emprende Program: whose objective is to contribute to the launch of new business activities, focusing especially on their sustainability and competitiveness.

 

Organized by Spain Startup and the IE Business School, South Summit, is a benchmark annual event in which all agents of the entrepreneurial ecosystem (startups, entrepreneurs, public administrations, business angels, and investors) meet, with the aim of connecting all participating actors to generate opportunities.

 

In last year's edition, South Summit managed to bring together 6.000 attendees and more than 200 investment funds with an investment portfolio of 235.000 million euros. During the event, the startup contest will be held, in which the 100 finalist startups have been selected from more than 4.500 projects with 80% of international origin.
