El OAS Self-Diagnosis It consists of a digital, intuitive and confidential questionnaire that analyses crucial aspects of the logistics chain, such as Risk management, internal controls, the document traceability and supply chain protection.
Upon completion, the tool generates a custom report which details the company's readiness percentage and, most valuable, offers practical recommendations so that the company can comply with the standards required by the World Customs Organization (WCO). This advance knowledge allows companies to make strategic decisions and optimize their logistics processes before beginning the formal certification process.
This initiative, developed in collaboration with NUMA OEA (Customs Platform and Management), seeks to strengthen the competitiveness, logistical security, and customs efficiency of Madrid's business community in the context of international trade.
OAS: Synonymous with Reliability and Competitive Advantage
The OEA certification is recognized globally as a seal of reliability and regulatory compliance in customs operations. For exporting companies, obtaining it translates into multiple benefits:
-
Simplification of customs procedures and reduction of physical inspections.
-
Priority in the clearance of goods.
-
Lower logistics costs thanks to more efficient management.
-
International recognition as a trusted partner.
In the current landscape of digitalization of trade and the demand for secure supply chains, AEO certification has become a competitive differential key, opening doors to new markets and clients that prioritize working with accredited partners.
Advice and Information Day
The Madrid Chamber underlines its commitment by offering specialized technical advisory services for companies that, after self-diagnosis, wish to advance in preparing for and obtaining the AEO certificate.
In addition, to delve deeper into the topic, the Chamber has organized the in-person session "Get your Authorized Economic Operator certificate: key points, advantages and how to obtain it" the next 14th October 2025 at its headquarters at 1 Plaza de la Independencia.
The session will feature high-level experts, including Carlos Alonso Virgós (National Point of Contact OAS – Tax Agency) and Lourdes Morales (CEO of NUMA and OAS consulting firm), who will detail the requirements, strategic benefits, and use of the AUTO OAS tool.
