San Antonio: A Business-Friendly Territory for Investment

 

The morning was dedicated to the session “San Antonio: Boost your business and discover its possibilities”During the welcome address, the Vice President of the Madrid Chamber of Commerce, Eva SerranoHe highlighted the profound similarities between the two capitals, describing San Antonio as a "territory business friendly that attracts investment, employment and well-being," just like Madrid.

 

Accompanied by Phyllis Viagran, councilor and president of the Economic and Labor Development Committee of San Antonio, Serrano highlighted the dynamism of the area in key sectors such as tourism, cybersecurity, technology, health and defense, highlighting its leadership in job creation within Texas.

 

The vision of the opportunities was expanded by American leaders such as Sarah Carabias Rush (Greater: SATX), Mario Bass (Visit San Antonio) and Jesús Sáenz (San Antonio Airports), who outlined the economic, tourist, logistical and cultural potential that the Texan city offers to Madrid investment.

 

Miami and Madrid: A Strategic Corridor of Talent and Innovation

 

In the afternoon, attention focused on the day "Boost your business in Miami", inaugurated by the Speaker of the House, Angel Asensio, and the Education Minister of the Community of Madrid, Emilio Viciana.

 

President Asensio emphasized that this meeting reflects the fact that the Community of Madrid is "open to the world and has a vocation for international leadership." He stressed that Miami and Madrid “They share a common vision, with talent, innovation, leading universities and a natural connection with the Ibero-American world”.

 

For Asensio, this alliance seeks to build a “a more agile, sustainable and digital economic, educational and logistics corridor” between the two territories, highlighting Miami as a priority destination due to its global reach and innovative ecosystem. He also emphasized the importance of the educational cooperationstating: “without training there is no innovation.”

 

The afternoon session was structured around two highly interesting panel discussions, focusing on the role of Madrid and Miami as educational and talent hubs, as well as in the relevance of the logistics and free trade zones as drivers of international competitiveness. Representatives from ports, universities, and leading business entities from both regions participated.

 

These forums reaffirm the commitment of the International Department of the Madrid Chamber of Commerce to transform investment opportunities into concrete projects that promote sustainable development and strengthen mutual trust between Spain and the United States.
